What is Termite Ransomware?
The malware analyzed by White Defender, which researches and develops ransomware security, is Termite Ransomware.
Termite encrypts file data and changes the extension to make it unusable.
Termite renames the file data of the user’s important data files by adding the extension “.Termite”.
For example, the file “download.jpg” will be changed to “download.jpg.Termite”, and “sales.xlsx” will be changed to “sales.xlsx.Termite”.
Once this attack process is complete, a ransom note is displayed in a pop-up message, and a ransom note with the title “HELP_DECRYPT_YOUR_FILES.txt” is created in every directory.
