What is CMLocker Ransomware?
The malware analyzed by White Defender, which researches and develops ransomware security, is CMLocker Ransomware.
CMLocker encrypts file data and changes the extension to make it unusable.
CMLocker renames the file data by adding the extension ".CMLOCKER" to the user important data files.
For example, the file "download.jpg" will be changed to "download.jpg.CMLOCKER", and "sales.xlsx" will be changed to "sales.xlsx.CMLOCKER".
Once this attack process is complete, a ransom note is displayed in a pop-up message, and a ransom note with the title "HELP_DECRYPT_YOUR_FILES.txt" is created in every directory.
