What is Solidbit Ransomware?
The malware analyzed by White Defender, which researches and develops ransomware security, is Solidbit Ransomware.
Solidbit encrypts file data and changes the extension to make it unusable.
Solidbit renames the file data of users’ important data files by adding the extension “.solidbit”.
For example, a file called “download.jpg” will be changed to “download.jpg.solidbit”, and “sales.xlsx” will be changed to “sales.xlsx.solidbit”.
Once this attack process is complete, a ransom note is displayed in a pop-up message, and a ransom note with the title “RESTORE-MY-FILES.txt” is created in every directory.
