Rec_rans Ransomware
Rek Lance ransomware encrypts important data files, changes the desktop, and creates a ransom note (demand for money) HOW_TO_RECOVERY_FILES file. For example, change the file "photo.jpg" to "photo.jpg.rec_rans" and the file "2.png" to "2.png.rec_rans".
The ransom note states that the computer has been infected with ransomware and all files have been encrypted, and threatens to disclose the data on the TOR website (dark web) if the ransom is not paid. Deleting or modifying files may cause recovery problems, and you may see a ransom note saying that repeated attacks will occur if the ransom is not paid.
