Eking ransomware is distributed through spam emails with infected attachments or by exploiting vulnerabilities in operating systems and programs.
This ransomware encrypts all of the user's data (photos, videos, documents, music, etc.) and creates a ransom note info.txt in all folders.
Changes the extension of all files. It changes to [file name.extension.id-private key.tolong80@protonmail.ch].eking.
For example, the file [Photo.jpeg] is changed to [Photo.jpeg..extension.id-[private key].[tolong80@protonmail.ch].eking].
