What is DarkAngels? Ransomware?
Dark Angel ransomware is a member of the Babuk ransomware family.
This ransomware encrypts all of the user's data (photos, videos, documents, music, etc.), creates a ransom note How_To_Restore_Your_Files.txt in all folders, and exposes the ransom note on the desktop for the user to view.
If infected with Ransomware, the extensions of all files are encrypted and changed. Changed files cannot be opened or used.
After infection, the file in [1.crypt] is changed to [1.jpeg.crypt].
A ransom note is a note containing a requirement to follow these instructions.
